LFR is invited to join the All Clubs Beach Ride, Aug 23, 2014 at Imperial Beach with Bonita Valley Horsemen, Ramona Trails, and Back Country Horsemen.
From Bonita Valley Horsemen (BVH): Please join us to ride as the Back County Horsemen, Bonita Valley Horsemen, Ramona Trails Association and Tijuana River Valley Equestrian Association all come together for one really fun ride!
10 AM -All Club Beach Ride. Ride and lunch at the Hollister Street Equestrian Staging Area. Three Hour Ride in the Tijuana River Bottom and along the beach. The Hollister Street staging area is off Hollister Street in Imperial Beach. Take 5 South to Dairy Mart Road, go West on Monument road, travel about a mile and turn Right on Hollister Street. Turn left into the staging area after going over the river bridge. Nice staging area with trailer parking, corrals and water.
BVH to host lunch serving hotdogs and condiments after the ride. Riders please consider bringing a side dish to share, along with a chair to sit in. Meet members of other clubs.
RIDE UPDATE: The Ride was hosted by BVH, and attended by LFR, RTA, BCH, and TRVEA. LFR Members included Deb Montgomery, Holly Oliver, Cindy Helms with her daughter and granddaughter in tow, Sandy Jones, Melinda Setterman, and Steve and Cyndi Denny.
BVH cooked up the hot dogs, along with fruit, salads, snacks, and drinks, everyone had plenty to eat. Afterwards, Diane, President of BVH talked about trail and camping issues, the outcome of the Cuyamaca meeting, and organizing with LFR and other clubs to address these issues.
