2014 LFR goals: Club rides for members, Revision of our by laws, horse camping at Stagecoach, then Los Vaqueros; our Annual Poker ride, blazing new trails, joining other equine/community events like the All Club Beach ride.
The Club has accomplished a lot in 2014:
We did Trail Maintenance in January, lead by Ernie Smith.
We had a successful camp at Stagecoach with clubs BCH, RTA, and PVMR. Stagecoach resort providing Country Western entertainment, great weather for riding, great Potlucks with the clubs, and a sold out Pancake Breakfast put on by LFR.
We had our first club ride in Crest in March, followed by a club ride in April in Descanso.
We rode in three parades: Lakeside Western parade in April, Crest parade, and Descanso parade in July. Possibly more to come.
The By-Laws committee completed it's update of our By-laws, presented to membership for revision and vote.
Our May camp at Los Vaqueros was a sellout with 42 corrals taken for Memorial Day weekend. The club went to Lake Cuyamaca for the Friday night Fish Fry, and members join in for the Tri Tip Potluck Saturday night. A great time was enjoyed by all.
Members have been busy attending community events, public meetings for trails, riding trail, and camping.
So what is happening in our meetings, presentations by members, visits from other clubs, and planning our next event.
