RIDE REVIEW: The club would like to thank Sandy Jones for putting this ride together with Dulzura Vineyard and Winery. Everyone had a great time. It was a great ride on the BLM trail, followed by wine tasting and lunch. Enjoy the pictures. At member's request, we will do this event again.

We have a ride scheduled for Saturday, Jan 24 at the Dulzura Vineyard and Winery on Hwy 94.
Please meet at the Dulzura Vineyard and Winery at 10:15/10:30 a.m. and in the saddle at 11 am. We can ride to the Tasting room, sign up for wine tasting, five tastes for $10.00. We do NOT have to do all the tasting, maybe one or two, head out on BLM trail, riding pass the vines, to do a five mile loop on a wide fire road, come back to the tasting room, finish wine tasting, tie up the horses, pull out our lunches and talk about the ride. Wine tasting is optional.
As everything is green now, it will be a very pretty ride, and it is perfect riding weather, especially when we will have a wonderful breeze as we make our way to the top of the ridge in the middle of the loop. The owners will provide water barrels for the horses, and Sandy Jones will be directing traffic upon arrival at the winery. There is plenty of room for lots of rigs.
Directions:
Go out Hwy 94, past Jamul, like you are going to Hollenbeck, only continue straight on 94, once you reach Dulzura, slow down. Upon seeing the Cal Fire Station on the left side, the Winery is the next driveway on the Right once you pass the fire station. You will see a sign before the driveway. Upon turning into the driveway, it slopes down, please turn left over the cattle guard to park. There is a second gate farther down that we will use for an easy exit upon leaving.
17323 Highway 94. Dulzura, CA 91917
Bring hats and sunblock, water for yourself, a packed lunch. There are no trees, but a nice breeze.
This non-motorized trail is on BLM Land and we will be the only ones on this trail. :-)
