Our CLUB MEETINGS are held on the third Thursday of each month with the exception of December where we hold the club's Christmas party in place of our meeting.
Our meetings begin at 6 pm at the Ranch House Restaurant, 11510 Woodside Ave., Santee, CA 92071. Many members arrive ahead of time, about 5 pm, to have dinner and visit with other members.
Our meetings are open and folks are welcome to attend a meeting to see what we are all about. We must warn you, though, most folks who visit our meetings end up joining us.
Our usual agenda:
We welcome new members and visitors,
Talk about old and new club business.
We sometimes have a guest speaker or an presentation.
We let you know of any equestrian issues and activities in the county and other club's events.
We plan and schedule club events such as LFR club rides, participate in community events, trail and park meetings, do trail maintenance and trail preservation, have our Poker Ride fundraiser, and most important, our campouts, at Stagecoach Trails RV Park in the Anza-Borrego Desert for President's Day weekend, Los Vaqueros Group Camp (Summer and Fall), and Horse Camp at Chihuahua Valley in the Spring.
We have Brags where members announce something exciting like a new horse, job, dog, truck/camper, that clearance from the doctor to get back in the saddle, an exciting accomplishment with your horse like crossing water for the first time, etc.
Members also speak about what they are seeking, are looking for a horse, corral panels, etc. or announce what they are selling.
We announce member's birthdays for the month, and those with a birthday that month attending the meeting get a free raffle ticket.
And at the end of our meeting we hold a raffle, and the winner gets the pot!!!
